How can I become a member of the library?
For becoming a member of The Aafjes Amsterdam Public Library you can fill out the form or come to one of our locations to become a member right away.
Can I use books in the library without membership?
Yes, the entry to the library is free, you can use the resources of the library and attend all events without a library card, but in order to take the literature to your home, you need to issue a library card.
I lost a book (or other borrowed material). What should I do?
In case you lost a book or other borrowed material, you will have to reimburse this to the AAPL. You can reimburse the material by first reporting at the customer service in the AAPL what you lost exactly. After that, you can reimburse the amount at the cash machine in the AAPL. The fine on the material will expire immediately.
